Meet The Members of The Sage String Quartet


HannahViolinist Hannah Eldridge, a native of Warrington, Pennsylvania, has been a member of the "Pershing's Own" U.S. Army Strings since September, 2008. Ms. Eldridge is a first prize winner of the Riverside Symphonia Young Artist’s Caprio Competition, the Union League Civic and Arts Foundation Competition, and the Musician’s Club of Women Competition in Chicago. She has appeared as soloist with the Bucks County Symphony, the Riverside Symphonia, Philadelphia Biblical University, and the Northwestern Chamber Orchestras. As an orchestral musician, Ms. Eldridge has played with the Kennett, Delaware, Baltimore Symphonies, the National Philharmonic, Virginia Chamber Orchestra, and Concert Artists of Baltimore. She is a member of the Maryland, Annapolis, and Richmond Symphony Orchestras and a former member of the Ann Arbor and the Virginia Symphony Orchestras. During the summer seasons, she has participated in the Quartet Program at Bucknell University, the Schlern International Music Festival in Italy, and was a full time music staff at Camp of the Woods in Speculator, New York. Ms. Eldridge has performed in master classes for prestigious artists and ensembles including, Paul Katz, Blair Milton, Ida Kavafian, Vadim Repin at Bein and Fushi in Chicago, the Pacifica Quartet, the Ying Quartet, and the Chicago Quartet. She has studied with Estelle Kerner, Xiao-Fu Zhou, Charlie Castleman, Judith Ingolfssohn, Soovin Kim, Midori Goto, Roland and Almita Vamos and Jonathan Carney. Ms.Eldridge received her Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University in Violin Performance and a dual Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan in violin performance and chamber music while studying with Yehonatan Berick.


NancyViolinist Nancy Jin, a native of Fairfax, VA, is a member of the Fairfax Symphony and frequently plays with the National Philharmonic, Virginia Chamber, and the Amadeus Orchestras. Ms. Jin is a substitute player with the National and Richmond Symphony orchestras and was a member of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra for three seasons. In addition to performing, She is a certified Suzuki teacher and maintains a thriving studio and has served as a faculty member at the Neighborhood Music School and Creative Music Center in Connecticut. Ms. Jin holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Master of Music degree from Yale University School of Music. During summers, she has attended ENCORE School for Strings, Kent/Blossom, National Repertory Orchestra, National Orchestral Institute, and the Spoleto Festival in South Carolina. Her principal teachers include Vernon Summers, Linda Cerone, Syoko Aki, as well as members of the Tokyo and Miami String Quartets.







Kyung
Violist Kyung LeBlanc is an active chamber musician and a studio teacher in Washington, DC. She is a regular performer at the National Cathedral, Kennedy Center, and Strathmore Hall. Ms. LeBlanc has played with the Concert Artists of Baltimore, National Philharmonic and Richmond Symphony Orchestras, and Washington National Opera Orchestra. She has served as principal viola for the Philharmonia and Concert Orchestras of the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the AACA and Sinfonia at the Aspen Music Festival and School, and has been a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago under the direction of Daniel Barenboim. Ms.LeBlanc received a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Michigan and pursued further studies at the Cincinnati College- Conservatory of Music. She has participated in the Cascade Festival of Music and the Prague International Spring Music Festival during the summer seasons. Ms.LeBlanc has been a fellow at the Aspen Music Festival and School, as well as a scholarship recipient at various music festivals including Round Top, Weathersfield, Sewanee Music Festivals, National Orchestral Institute, and Interlochen Arts Camp as a Governor's Scholar. An avid chamber player, Ms. LeBlanc is a founding member of the Sage Chamber Players and has performed nationally and abroad. She has been featured as a soloist with the Chicago Chamber and Rhode Island Youth Philharmonic Orchestras. Ms. LeBlanc's principal teachers include Charles Pikler, principal violist of the Chicago Symphony, Dr. Catharine Carroll, Tsuna Sakamoto, Roland Vamos, and Yitzak Schotten.


SeanCellist Sean Neidlinger, a native of Alexandria, Virginia, maintains an active career as a recitalist, chamber musician, and teacher. After receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Richard Aaron, he then pursued further studies at New England Conservatory, where he studied with Paul Katz and performed as the cellist of the Honors String Trio. Mr. Neidlinger has received top prizes at several orchestra concerto competitions, including Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria, and has performed repeatedly as a soloist with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic and the Friday Morning Music Club orchestras. He has performed as a chamber musician and recitalist throughout the United States and Europe, and has participated in festivals including the Soesterberg International and Taos Music Festivals. Mr. Neidlinger performs frequently in the Washington, DC area, where he has been featured as a soloist and chamber musician at the Korean, German, French, and Austrian embassies, and the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage and Terrace Theatre. He maintains a large teaching studio, and his students have routinely been selected as members and principals for area orchestras, including district and county orchestras and the American Youth Philharmonic.
