Calmes Trio
Beth, Laura, and Melissa Calmes were born in Morgantown, West Virginia, under remarkable circumstances as triplets, then grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. They began their musical education in the fourth grade and by age ten, began to play as a string trio.
Throughout public school education, they performed with the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra and the CK Youth Symphony, school orchestras, and student ensembles. At the University of Kentucky, they furthered their studies under music scholarships, where they performed with the UK Symphony, the UK Opera, and in chamber music settings.
Since then, they have relocated to Washington, D.C. where they continue to perform at weddings, receptions, corporate and private parties, and various other events.
