Jimmy Nalley started his entertainment career as a keyboard player, singer and leader of his own band in the DC Metropolitan area. He has performed as a member of Motown Legend–MARY WELLS’ band as well as other nationally known artists such as JOHNNY TILLOTSON and KING CURTIS. He was also a USO entertainer with tours in Europe and North Africa.
During his playing days he developed the show biz work ethic: THE SHOW WILL ALWAYS GO ON and the organizational skills necessary to keep a performing group together and sounding good for up to 280 shows each year. Along the way he has always been the MC and singer in his bands.
Jimmy also has a great technical understanding of the sound and musical equipment that he uses because of his experience running the sound equipment for his bands and the ownership of a local recording studio. Among his recording clients he lists NILS LOFGREN (Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street bandmember) and PAUL REED SMITH (one of the nation’s foremost Guitar manufacturers).
His 1991 degree in Radio, Television and Film from the University of Maryland helps to round out this entertainer’s experience. After a brief couple of years in the real estate business and other entrepreneurial endeavors, in 1993 he used his entertainment experience and talents to start his new but not unfamiliar career as a Karaoke Host and Mobile DJ. Since that time, he has performed at every major venue in the Baltimore-Washington area.
In the year 2001 Jimmy performed 314 shows including 36 Weddings of all sizes, 12 Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, 207 Karaoke Shows, and an assortment of Corporate Parties, Anniversaries, and Birthday and Holiday celebrations.
The musical knowledge and entertainment experience he brings to each event helps to make each one an overwhelming success. Referrals and references are never a problem for Jimmy. He always leaves the guests asking “Where did you get that DJ? We want him for our own upcoming party!”
